Tracy Bowman
Tracy Bowman is a British Horse Society certified riding instructor based in the San Francisco Bay Area where she has specialized in teaching eventing since 1984. Since 2010, she has competed in combined driving and para driving. In 2018, Bowman was selected for the U.S. team at the FEI Para Driving World Championships for Singles in the Netherlands. With her Welsh Pony mare, Taylamor Laurabelle, she finished in eighth place individually. In 2021, Bowman and her Welsh Pony gelding, Albrecht’s Hoeve’s Lars, won individual gold for the U.S. at the FEI Para Driving World Championship in Germany. She also became a two-time World Champion with Lars in 2023 when she reclaimed her title. As recognition of her achievements, Tracy received US Equestrian’s International Athlete of the Year Honors, a very prestigious award given to only four athletes each year. While pursing her para driving goals, Bowman also continues to teach and operates an elite equestrian facility in California with riders coming in from across the country to train under Bowman and work with the team she has built.
